7Gr. For espresso lovers only.

7Gr offers high quality coffee and - in contrast to a lot of other companies - really appreciates good design. I want to especially point out their delicious variants of ESE pods, which are from my point of view an easy and convenient way to enjoy a perfect coffee experience.

The pods are available in three different flavors and each of them can be recommended wholeheartedly. Also beans and ground formats are available.

PEOPLE
Our favorit! A Grand Cru of high-quality Arabica and Robusta beans from Brazil, India and Ethiopia. Complete and full taste, not too strong and not too weak, hints of cocoa... simpy a perfect mixture.
TIME
A selection of fine Arabica from Brazil, Colombia and Ethiopia. Round taste, maybe a bit stronger than PEOPLE, smooth texture... very enjoyable.

ALWAYS
This is the decaffeinated pod, which despite the lack of coffein tastes very compact, smooth and convinving.

If you are looking for great coffee presented with style you should check out 7Gr. Beside coffee they also produce other fine stuff as cups, cookies or liquor - maybe I will write about these sometime in the future as well.

From the producer:  A SIGN OF IDENTITY.

Our name is our pledge.
A pledge that we fulfill by following a path made of passion, of course, and of substance, too.

You need 7 grams of finely ground coffee to make a perfect espresso. Not a gram more, nor less.

Our brand fully reflects our philosophy, starting from the value we place on every moment that preceeds the extraction of those 25 ml of pure flavour and aroma which end up in our coffee cup. A rigorous process in which everything has its “weight” and any decision regarding it will make a difference.

Cloer 6320 - Toaster/Grill

If you like grilling on fine plates (meat, fish, vegetables,...) as well as preparing delicious waffles on your own, you should have a look at this comfortable griller from Cloer.

Not only the design is straight-forward and elegant, also the griller is easy to handle and it can be used for a lot of different purposes. The plates heat up pretty fast, but the grip always stays cool as it is insulated.

I tried simple cheese toast as well as fish - and both dishes worked out really fine. You can remove the plates pretty easy and so I also used the waffle plates, and the result was more then great. No sticking of the dough, good handling of the toaster and perfect consistency of the waffles. Delicious!!

A fine and multi-purpose appliance with fast and simple usage. Recommended.

- Fast and easy-to-use toaster/grill

- Nonstick cooking surface
- Compact
- Different plates
- Elegant and modern design (stainless steel)

The Cloer company began manufacturing electric irons in Germany in 1898. In the early 1900's they designed and marketed the first waffle iron. They have continued expand their brand with other electric kitchen appliances, survived two world wars, and grew to market to all of Europe from their manufacturing warehouse in Germany. They are well known for the durability and style of their electric kitchen appliances and truly create art for the kitchen. In order to remain competitive the Cloer company recently purchased Asian factories and hired their own Asian management to work under German engineers to competitively produce their high quality Cloer brand electric kitchen appliances.

FL/Y Icon

The FL/Y icon suspension lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani in 2002 belongs nowadays to the design classics manufactured by Kartell. Laviani seems to take reference to the flowerpot lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1968 although his design is an advancement. The FL/Y icon seems to be more airy, floating just like a colossal soap bubble dazzle in sunlight. The lamp, which is made out of transparant Methacrylat, feathery accents nearly every modern furniture not least because it's available in many different colors.

material: methacrylat
colours:
transparent - petrol blue, sky blue, red, orange, blue, yellow, scarlet, emerald green, sage green
solid-coloured - black, white
dimensions: Ø 52cm, H33cm; cable length 190cm

The wonderful wizard of OZ...

The series OZ by GSG CERAMIC DESIGN goes beyond simple „sanitaryware“, furthermore OZ sets itself apart from conventional bath ceramic by designing washing basins and shower trays that are kind of functional arty objects for your bathroom. They are obtainable in many colors, and you can find analogies to constructivism in art – remember for example Malewitsch.

The washing basins find their showy finish in the fitting, very straight top, kind of bauhaus style available in finishes light oak, wenge oak, white lacquered and gray lacquered. The ceramics are of high quality and easy to clean.
The products are really highly recommended!

GSG is a company specialized in the production of ceramic sanitaryware, and is to be found in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. The gsg company has a long experiance in the foreign market with classic design, and now, a careful awareness of todays designs and styles, enlarging the gamma of products to combine a new way of living and concept of architectural bathrooms.

Robinson Crusoe - Sofa "Ile"

If this sofa, called „Ile“, could be mine, I would, like Robinson Crusoe, never leave this beautiful island. The sofa seems to float above the basement, it is airy and earthed, although this seems to be a paradoxon. You can use „Ile“ as a daybed too – maybe this makes you dream about holidays on a real island.

The product is of high quality and the covering is removeable, which is quite convenient – it makes it easy to change the appearance of your living space, when you’re fed up with its look, but don’t want to buy new things. The designer Piero Lissoni did a great job in designing this inovative „Ile“.

A landscape for your wall... Cupboard "Vision"

the strict linear cupboard from pastoe fits in a modern living room very well, although it's not only a cabinet. the three-dimensional body looks quite arty and animates the eye to fly over it - the piece, some kind of an architectural landscape, stands for itself.

there is no need for decoration, but it's also not forbidden. while playing with light and shadow, with highs and downs - the cupboard itself is just simple, straight and clear. but not boring at all, rather the opposite and the definitely the right choice if you are looking for some kind of special and functional landscape for your wall.

Vision, a successor to the old kubus from Pastoe, is a three-dimensional storage system whose hidden structure with gripless fronts enables the creation of compositions combining lines, surfaces, volumes and colours. The system consists of lacquered modules. The modules can be subdivided using doors, drawers or flaps that open and close using a pneumatic system and can be directly fixed to the wall, or placed on frames, socle or wheels. The possible variations are infinite - from a 3-dimensional relief to a graphical grid made of lines and surfaces, from a series of sideboards to an architectural and spatial landscape.

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

I always found it very annoying that childrens living space seems to be chintzy. For me there was always the question: „How can children be able to develop exquisite taste, when we confront them only with tiny dwarfs and elfs and other „lovely“ motives. There is no virtue in buying such crap any longer. When I discoverd by chance the serie_01 of the company „Living Jewels“, who produces furniture for children which not only refer to Le Corbusier’s sofas, but are a great advancement of these, I found myself just happy.

The products are of course of high quality, and therefore well prepared for children jumping on them. And what is more fun than doing gymnastics on the couch...?

Not longer living hell when I enter the room of my son – nothing displeases the eye any longer, far from it - an eye-catcher amuses me every day.

It is, just as told by „Living Jewels“: Simple. Elegant. Beautiful. And very cosy.
Congratulations.

barcelona - all in one or one in all

barcelona, one of my favorite cities, is the one place, where you get the best of: city, design, art, fashion, food, scene... barcelona is young and barcelona is old, barcelona is shabby and it's first class - it's so many things, but it's never fake.
what you have to visit, beside the harbour, beach, park guel and all the other gaudi architecture is the museu d'art contemporani d'barcelona, designed by the american architect Richard Meier. if not for the exhibtion, than just for the building and the place in front - a meeting point of barcelonas young people.

and this is maybe the best adress, where you can stay:

hotel omm is situated in the center of barcelona and it's very trendy. if you want to be seen and have a look for yourself it's highly recommended!

all is gursky

Andreas Gursky, german fotographer is still doing more than a great job... unfortunately his artwork is not available for the most of us - his work "99 cent" was sold at sotheby's for 2,26 million dollars! Gursky is mixing reality with illusion, trueness with fake. his work is more than only "fotos" - the artist creates a fictitious verity. Gursky generates artfully patterns, which contain a very oppressive view on globalisation. He arranges different true spotlights so perfectly into each other - that hours seems to be seconds. his artwork makes you gawp!

make your way to berlin

"and if you're leaving with sin /escape the city I'm in /come on and knock it where it's rocking non-stop / make your way to Berlin" Merrill Nisker a.k.a. Peaches spreads the message in her song kick it (feat. Iggy Pop). Berlin is young, noisy and arty. And that's why everybody wants to go there, if not as center of their life, than maybe for a short and intense citytrip. If you want to see for youself I can recommend this hotel which represents the city perfectly... hotel q

darf's ein bisserl mehr sein?

may it be a little more? - a typical austrian question.
they tried a lot and it
was more than excellent. and after all they are going back to where they came from.
what am i talking about? i'm talking about the representatives of fine arts. after experimentation with form and color, after great expressive and impressive works, after decomposition of form and figure, it looks as if the next generation of painters all over the world go back to realism. and let me tell you - this feels good.
see for yourself!
